ABOUT HEART

SO, WE BEGIN WITH THE MOST FAMOUS 'KILLER' IN THE WORLD ; HEART ATTACK OR ALSO KNOWN AS MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION.

FIRSTLY, WE HAVE TO KNOW SOME IMPORTANT PART OF HEART.

   MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION (MI) OCCUR DUE TO LACK SUPPLY OF OXYGEN TO THE HEART'S MUSCLE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE PUMPING ACTION OF THE ORGAN.

   AS MENTIONED ABOVE, THE CORONARY ARTERIES ARE THE MAIN ARTERIAL SUPPLY TO THE HEART. SO,YOU GOT THE POINT ALREADY RIGHT? YES,THESE ARTERIES ARE THE MAIN SITE FOR DEFECTS TO TAKE PLACE THUS LEADING TO MI.




MOST HEART ATTACKS ARE CAUSED BY A BLOOD CLOT THAT BLOCKS ONE OF THE CORONARY ARTERIES. IF THE BOOD FLOW IS BLOCKED, THE HEART IS STARVED OF OXYGEN AND HEART CELLS DIE. BESIDES, A HARD SUBSTANCE CALLED PLAQUE CAN BUILD UP IN THE WALLS OF THE CORONARY ARTERIES. THIS PLAQUE IS MADE UP OF CHOLESTEROL AND OTHER CELLS. A HEART 
ATTACK CAN OCCUR AS A RESULT OF PLAQYE BUILDUP.

HOW TO PREVENT IT?

FOLLOWING A HEALTHY DIET IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF A HEART HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. A HEALTHY DIET INCLUDES A VARIETY OF FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND WHOLE GRAINS. IT ALSO INCLUDES LEAN MEATS, POULTRY, FISH, BEANS AND FAT-FREE OR LOW-FAT MILK OR MILK PRODUCTS. A HEALTHY DIET IS LOW IN SATURATED FAT, TRANS FAT, CHOLESTEROL, SODIUM (SALT) AND ADDED SUGARS.

IF YOU'RE OVERWEIGHT OR OBESE, WORK WITH YOUR DOCTOR TO CREATE A REASONABLE WEIGHT-LOSS PLAN THAT INVOLVES DIET AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. CONTROLLING YOUR WEIGHT HELPS YOU CONTROL RISK FACTORS FOR HEART ATTACK. BE AS PHYSICAL ACTIVE AS YOU CAN. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CAN IMPROVE YOUR FITNESS LEVEL AND YOUR HEALTH.

IF YOU SMOKE, QUIT. SMOKING CAN RAISE YOUR RISK OF HEART ATTACK. TALK WITH YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT PROGRAMS AND PRODUCTS THAT CAN HELP YOU

  1. i have a question...maybe sounds stupid but i still wondering bout it.is it good if we dont consume/ eat food containing fat/cholestrol?? sorry, my english is not so good.. thanx..:)

Hi...thanks for ur comment and im really sorry for the delay..so,1stly..fat or i should use the term lipids here is really important for our body..triacylglycerol,a component of lipid serve as energy reserve of the body..it is stored inside the tissue while neither are carbohydrates and proteins..fats also acts as insulating material for maintaining body temperature..so,you can understand why it is important right?dont worry about the heart problem coz as long as u take the right amount of supplement,the diet content,it will not be exceeded..so,such disease will not take place..i hope this answer helps you :)
